Pastor Dennis Morehead, Sr.

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. ”  II Timothy 2:3 – 4

Born in Canton, Ohio on November 26th, Pastor Dennis L. Morehead was the sixth child born to the late Apostle Anderson Morehead, Sr. and the Late Betty Sue Morehead. He received the Holy Ghost at the age of twelve in N.Y.C. The call of God was upon his life at an early age, but he chose not to heed the call at that time. Dennis was drafted into the U.S. Army shortly after High School. This was his way, so he thought, of getting away from God. He signed up with the 101st Airborne Division and became a Paratrooper serving one year stateside and fourteen months in Viet-Nam.

In the military, Dennis Morehead served as a machine gunner. He was wounded twice, and received the distinguished Purple Heart with Cluster Medal. It was through this experience that Dennis made a vow to God that he would serve Him whole-heartedly!! Upon Dennis’s return back home, his vow was tested, but he remained victorious through Christ Jesus.

He has served faithfully under the Spiritual leadership of his father, the late Apostle Anderson Morehead, Sr., his brothers, the late Bishop John Morehead, Elder James Morehead, and the late Bishop Robert S. Moe, Sr. Pastor Morehead has grown through the ranks in ministry as a deacon, an exhorter, a minister, an elder and now a pastor. Pastor Morehead has a motto that he has applied to his life- “Stay Alert, Stay Alive”, not only in the Spiritual but in the Natural as well. He continues to admonish the people of God to be “radical for Christ” and to serve the Lord with a PASSION!!
